I´ve sinned in the holy grail of bilingual up-bringing because I hadn´t really joined or started any bilingual playgroups.  Muy mal, I know!

Now I can´t keep up with Señorita Camila´s social Spanish-language calendar!

Anyway, I found this great group through meetup.com and through Dariela´s (http://nuestravidaconadrian.blogspot.com/) suggestion.  Olivia, the founder, called it Jugamos? and she describes it like this:

It's all about meeting friendly Hispanic/Latino parents with young children in surrounding areas (Glassell Park, Highland Park, Glendale, Burbank, Eagle Rock, Pasadena, Altadena, Rosemead and San Marino). We want to share, introduce and maintain our culture and language. We'll have play dates, go on outings/walks, talk about our kids, and offer social interaction for the children and for the parents, “noche de damas” and “noche de padres.” Everyone is welcome, come and share our culture, experiences and find parents with similar or same interests, and make new friends. “Listos para jugar?”

I met this great group of dedicated parents and kids some weeks ago and can´t wait to get the chance to jugar with them again soon!

You can join here.  It would be great to meet you!

Hello Ana,

This playgroup sounds like exactly what I was looking for.  I tried to get more information through meet-up but was unable to access the group.  Is the group still taking place?  I would love more information.

Thank you,

Liliana
