Two Little Libros: Sea Animals and Jungle Animals + Giveaway

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010, by Roxana S.

Talk about Spanglish…I love the title of this collection from Bilingual Readers.
One of my favorite things from this bilingual publishing house, which was born only last year in Spain, is the way they package their products. Their books have been a hit at our home, in part, because of the cool way they are presented. The read more ...

It was a great pairing because the read more ...

Any child who’s ever had a pet can relate to how difficult it can be to give it the ‘right’ name. My daughter, Vanessa, has only had the chance to name a couple of fish; and she’s still so young that she interchanges a few names, depending on her mood. So, some days the read more ...

It seems like we can’t write enough about the topic of reading with our children. It just goes to show how important we believe reading is as a tool for language exposure and for overall language skills.

Professor Pocket::Sing Spanish, Speak Spanish

Friday, July 3rd, 2009, by Ana Lilian

That’s why the language-introduction approach used in the Professor Pocket CD’s was completely relevant to us. Professor Pocket is a family-owned company that’s created two bilingual (Spanish/English) CDs and supplemental materials to help children develop a lifelong passion for learning languages.

At first, I thought Camila was still too young to completely understand and follow the storyline in “Our Silly Farm Adventure” since it’s recommended for children ages 2 and up. That was not the case at all. Maybe she still doesn’t grasp the context of what she is listening to, but she loves the silly animal sounds, the catchy songs and the identifiable kids’ voices. I’ve also caught her adorably repeating the key words and anticipating the songs many times.
